Billing & Credits

Effective date: 15 September 2026

This page explains how paying for Enji Guard works: what credits are, what things cost, and how tax is handled. Refunds have their own page — Refund Policy. The binding version is in the Terms of Service — this page is here to make it readable.

Who you are buying from

Paddle sells you the credits. Paddle is our authorised reseller and the merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles the tax, and issues your receipt. Paddle’s name is what you will see on your card statement, not ours — worth knowing before you wonder who charged you.

Enji AI LLC builds and runs Enji Guard and provides support, and is who you contract with for using the Service. See the Imprint for full details of both.

Credits

Enji Guard is pay-as-you-go. You buy credits up front and spend them on audit runs.

  • One credit buys 1 US dollar’s worth of Enji Guard.
  • Buying more at once costs less per credit — see below.
  • Credits are sold in fixed packs. Pack sizes, prices, and the smallest available purchase are on our price list.
  • There is no subscription and no automatic top-up. When your balance runs out, nothing is charged and nothing renews. You buy more if and when you want to.
  • Credits last 12 months from the date you buy them, and we email you at least 30 days before any of them expire. We also spend the ones closest to expiring first, so nothing lapses while you have newer credits unused.

Credits can only be spent on Enji Guard. They cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for cash, except through the refunds described below.

What you pay per credit

Credits are sold in packs. At the standard rate a credit costs 1 US dollar; larger packs give you more credits for the same money, so each credit costs you less. The packs, their prices, and the rate each one works out at are on our price list — we do not repeat them here, because this page should not go out of date when a price changes.

Whichever pack you choose, every credit is worth the same when you spend it: 1 US dollar’s worth of Enji Guard. Buying a larger pack simply means you paid less for each one. The price per credit is shown before you buy, and it is the price we use if you later ask for a refund.

There are no separate “bonus” or promotional credits to keep track of — all your credits behave identically.

What audits cost

Each audit type costs a fixed number of credits, listed on our price list.

You always see the cost before you start a run. A run will not start if your balance is too low — there is no overdraft, your balance never goes below zero, and we will never invoice you after the fact for usage.

If a run fails, or you stop it before it finishes, the credits go back to your balance. You are not charged for work that did not complete.

If you have bought credits more than once, we spend the ones closest to expiring first, so nothing expires while you still have newer credits sitting unused.

Run out of credits? Nothing dramatic happens. Your account stays open, your existing reports stay visible and exportable, and you can top up whenever you want. You just cannot start a new audit until you do.

Trying it first

New accounts get a demo allowance: you can run each of the included audit types once, free, before buying anything. Which audits are included is shown on the pricing page. Once the allowance is used, you buy credits to keep going.

Price changes

Prices change from time to time, and how much notice you get depends on whether the change affects you badly.

  • New audit types, or an audit getting cheaper — takes effect immediately. Nothing to warn you about.
  • An audit getting more expensive — at least 14 days’ notice first. If you do not want to accept the increase, you can ask us to refund your unspent credits within 14 days of it taking effect — however long ago you bought them.
  • An audit type being withdrawn — at least 14 days’ notice. If you were holding credits for it, you can ask us to refund your unspent credits within 14 days of the withdrawal taking effect — however long ago you bought them. Retiring an audit type that has a direct successor you can run instead does not count.

Credits already in your balance are never taken away or reduced by a price change, and a price change never affects what you have already paid.

Tax

Prices are shown without tax, and tax is added at checkout. Where VAT, sales tax, or an equivalent applies where you are, it is added on top of the credit price, and you see the full total before you pay. Paddle works out the right tax for your location, collects it, and pays it to the relevant authority — we never handle it.

This means the amount charged to your card is not the same as the number of credits you receive. If you buy 100 credits and 20% VAT applies, you pay 120 US dollars and receive 100 credits. A credit is always worth 1 US dollar of Enji Guard, wherever you are in the world.

What currency? Credits are priced in US dollars, and a credit is always worth 1 US dollar of Enji Guard wherever you are. Paddle may show and charge the total in your local currency — it converts at checkout and shows you the amount before you pay. Refunds come back in whatever currency you were charged, so exchange rates can move the figure slightly between buying and refunding.

Buying for a business? Enter your VAT or tax registration number at checkout. If your purchase qualifies, the tax is reverse-charged or exempt and you pay the price without tax. You are responsible for the number being correct and for accounting for the tax yourself where that applies.

Paying

Payments are handled by Paddle. Your card details go straight to Paddle and never reach us — see Security & Trust.

Your credits appear in your balance as soon as Paddle confirms the payment. Paddle emails you a receipt for every purchase, issued in Paddle’s name as the seller.

Refunds

You have 30 days from buying to ask for a refund, for unspent credits only, and it is all or nothing — we refund your whole refundable balance rather than part of it. Spent credits are not refundable, because the audit ran. There are exceptions that ignore the 30 days entirely, and they all cover situations we caused.

Refunds go back to your original payment method through Paddle, at the rate you actually paid. Paddle works out the tax that comes back with it, since Paddle is what calculated and collected it.

Expired credits are not refundable and are not reinstated — expiry is not the same as unspent.

The full policy — the exceptions, how the amount is worked out, how long each step takes, and your statutory rights — is on the Refund Policy page.

If something goes wrong

Please contact [email protected] before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks and locks the money up on both sides; we can almost always sort it out faster directly. If the charge itself is what puzzles you, note that it will appear as Paddle rather than Enji Guard.

If we suspend or close your account for a reason other than you breaking the Terms of Service, we refund your unspent credits.

Enterprise

Volume pricing, invoicing and bank transfer, private and self-hosted deployments, service levels, and negotiated terms are handled under a separate signed agreement rather than through this page. Get in touch at [email protected].
